I need both gradients to be changeable in direction
Actvate the Gradient tool [g]. In the tool control bar select [Reverse the direction of the gradient] or drag the gradient colour stops on the canvas. Download this drawing to practice on.
When opening fill and stroke panel, once you've created a gradient, you can choose it again. Click on gradient fill icon, and click on the icon next to "Gradient:" : there you can find the gradients used in your document, you can rename them (here I did rename it) by clicking on their name and presse enter. You can also see how many object have this gradient.
You can modify its orientation on an object without modifying the orientation of all instances of this gradient.
"When I try to access the Inkscape manual both from my program (V 1.3.2) and from the link that appears on this page under the title 'learn', my computer takes me directly to an insecure page called 'FREE' that has nothing to do with the program.
I have downloaded Inkscape from its official website, so I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what."
"Is it possible to copy the gradient from one object to another? I need both gradients to be changeable in direction. Is this possible?
I would appreciate any suggestions."
I guess Copy+Paste Style should work.
Yes it is. Select the gradient source shape and Copy [ctrl+c]. Select the target shape and paste style [shift+ctrl+v)

"Thank you all, it has been very useful to me.
Could you tell me where you find this information? Every day I discover new IS functionalities but I can't seem to find any documentation on it."

Recrently there seems an issue with the accessibility of the online manual. You can check here: https://inkscape.org/forums/forum-news/unable-to-access-inkscape-manual/
