Using Inkscape with Cutters/Plotters Inkscape and Vinyl Express Q75

I recently was able to print directly from Inkscape to a Vinyl Express Q75. My need began because the software that came with the machine, VinylExpress LXI, is far out of date and not supported anymore. Trying to save 500 bucks to buy the newest version, I set out on this quest. My company bought this machine years ago from [link removed by mod]. I believe it is just a repackaged Graphtec machine. It has the option to use HP-GL and GP-GL, and once finding that option I was able to start printing directly from Inkscape. There were several software settings after that, that I had to figure out to get it to print correctly though. I have attached a document with screenshots to hopefully help anyone wanting to do this. I have had this running on Windows 7 and Windows 10. There are some quirks with this, if you don't have all these settings correct Inkscape can stall your entire computer if you are not using an SSD and are low on ram. Getting an SSD really helps this issue a lot. If I am trying some new settings I can get around my computer freezing by keeping the task manager up and ending the Inkscape process if my machine doesn't start cutting immediately. This has really helped me to start saving more often! If anyone has anymore tips please comment and let me know.

I don't know anything about the machine, however if you have Inkscape in your path ( Inkscape 1.1 should have a checkbox for this when you install ), you can run it from the windows command prompt.

So if you type 'cmd' in the search box on the bottom left of Windows 10 / 7 you can click 'command prompt' which pops up. Once the black window has opened, type 'Inkscape' no quotes and press enter.

    Inkscape will launch normally.

Now if Inkscape does freeze, click in the black window, press Ctrl+C - and Inkscape and any new windows you have created from it will be killed instantly instead of having to use the task manager.
