I work every day on Inkscape for my thesis to correct Figure, schema, etc.... It's a very amazing tool.
That is why I enjoy discovering a new stable feature.
Therefore I can't install this feature on my OS.
Could you help me?
I work on Manjaro Linux 64bits version Gnome 3.36.2 with kernel Linux5.4.36-1LTS.
When I search the update of my Inkscape 0.92.5-1. I don't find anything.
I search with yaourt a new install like this :
yaourt -a Inkscape
I find this

I find only Inkscape-092-git inline 5. But it's not a stable release. Why this new release is not available on the official repository?
I don't use Manjaro, but even on Mint the PPA (at least for 18.04 version of Ubuntu-based distros) only offers 0.92 versions. I think there's a PPA for the 1.0 release candidate but not the official 1.0 stable release. In which case there were only a few options for me on Mint. Build from source, install with flatpack, or download the portable version (appimage).
I dunno all the options available for installing on Arch-based distros like Manjaro, but after doing a quick search I *think* you could maybe install it via snap or try the appimage (which is what I'm using on Mint).
In any case, I'd check out the Inkscape GNU/Linux section on the official Inkscape site to see what your options are.

Good news, an Inkscape 1.0 update appeared during this weekend.
It is now available on PPA for the Manjaro.
