@Moini Click-drag selection with mouse and touch pad (couldn’t reproduce my initial impression with touch) seems to work OK in both 1.22 and 1.3 – in opposite to the Wacom/Inkscape 1.3 combination where I often have to do the same action 1-3 times before the nodes are selected.
This also applies to the 1.3 alt-click lasso mode (a great update though!)
Got the idea, that it perhaps was influenced by the settings, but random testing and restarts didn’t prove any significance.
@Mikael It is known that the graphics tablet settings in Inkscape 1.3 are mostly non-functional. The dialog has even been removed in the development version.
It is very possible that there is an issue with macOS/graphics tablets and Inkscape.
I would like you to do the following:
1. Please check whether this is a known issue at https://inkscape.org/report (note: to search, you need to login. Also check the closed ones, as 'closed' only means that the bug has been moved to the developer bug tracker). If there isn't one, open one.
2. Please try out the development version at some point.
3. If the problem persists (in the dev version), and your bug report doesn't get any responses, try the macOS development chat channel.

Inkscape 1.3 appears quite unresponsive, when I try to drag select nodes.
I use a wacom unit but same issue when using touchpad on Mac Book.
Is there a place in Preferences to adjust for this or is it a bug?
Kind but frustrated regards from Raaskot
Does this also happen when you use a regular mouse?

Some of these settings need a restart of Inkscape. Just saying.
@Polygon
Sure – also noticed.😀
Thus the shutdown-sign ...
When using multiple Inkscape versions, it is advised to reset the preferences and restart Inkscape with each switch of version.
