This is how Inkscape looks on Windows (screenshot by vellum). It displays a part of the new Tutorial - an SVG document teaching the basics of using the program (available via Help > Tutorial).
The xml editor is a great way to edit SVG items. This is really great for all you text-editor-based SVG artists. You won't have to hit the tab key so many times :) REJON went nuts with the cloning of one shape by using the spacebar. The original shape is an object that was created by cutting up the word INKSCAPE, and then rearranged it, joining all the fragments of the text into one shape, and then cloning it all over the canvas.
And this is the Keys and Mouse Reference in closeup. We call it a zoom-based interface: the more details you want to learn about a shortcut or technique, the closer you zoom to read the notes and explanations. It's a quite natural approach to information presentation for Inkscape with its 256x maximum zoom.
This is the new Keys and Mouse Reference for 0.37 as an SVG document (also available in HTML here). It is availabe from the program's Help menu at any time. Quite a lot of information here - you'll need to zoom and pan to find what you neeed!
